Les Paul- RIP, father of the modern electric guitar.  Jimmy, no one plays it meaner or sweeter than you.

You rock, Jimmy.  Was at the Chicago Theatre show this spring in the orchestra pit yelling "you rock, Jimmy" (sorry).  Just found out about Ezra--my heart goes out the Helm family.  I miss Rick.

You rock.

Hey Jim, its beenawhile.....I dont know if you check in here much but I have a favor to ask : a) if you & Rando pull together a gurus show could you or someone give me a heads up? seems when you do one of your infrequent reunions I hear about it like the day before&cant make the arrangements or worse yet after its over. & b) ditto if you play at one of Levon's rambles. I'd like to get down there this Summer or Fall & if you were playing there with Project Perolator or with Levon&the crew I'd like to get there.

For those who weren't there:  Jim Wieder's appearance was a highlight at the Levon Helm Band concert in NYC on Thursday.  Levon played and sang with incredible intensity and power when Jim came out to drive the band on "Remedy" - Levon's most powerful vocal of the night.  It was a reminder of how important Jim was to the Band and to how great the Band still was during his era. He showed everyone how it's done!

Jimmy- the Turning Point was sold out and the crowd was screaming and clapping all night.  This was the best I've heard the Percolators, just in time to wow the Europeans.  You looked so happy with your team.  The new CD (untitled) music sounds great, why don't you call it what you said about how you'd finish it by April, "By Hook Or By Crook".  Nice tribute to your pal, Mike Kemp, with "Prayer".  Mitch was great all night and the crowd appreciated his efforts.  From the bar I couldn't see Rodney Holmes, just the blur of white drumsticks, the fastest drummer I've ever nearly seen.  And he doesn't move his head or body at all.  Just spectacular.  And what did you put in guest Sid McGinnis' cereal- he was out of his mind great on his last solo.  Sid credits Rodney ("it's easy with him behind you).  Thanks for a great night and enjoy Europe.
