We lost Pinetop Perkins today. I recollect seeing him with G and D1 at one of Levon's rambles with the rest of Muddy's old band 5 or 6 years back. A wild man named Chris Collins(I think his first name was Chris) was there and lit a smoke for Pinetop as he made his way to the piano, and I'll bet he still talks about it! Wonder if he ever reads this guestbook, I know he used to.... I also recollect seeing the Guru's play at a ramble back then but can't remember if it was the same night as Muddy's band? Rando had a family emergency that night and made tracks out of there as soon as the Guru's set was over...... Hey to anyone who cares....Bash PS Donna from Philly : did you get to any of those Furthur shows in your neighborhood?

Jim, a good friend from CT turned us onto your Levon Helm gigs here. Saw you at Onteora H.S. and the New Years Eve Ramble at Levon's studio. I'm now a fan and really enjoy your work; you clearly enjoy your work and it shows and make it fun for the audience. Hope we can see you in Pawling next month.

Great to hear about your Blue Chicken band. With your lead and Brian Mitchell on keys/organ I imagine a high energy, funky, incredible sound. And let's not forget the return of the great Randy Clairante on drums. We're really looking forward to hearing you guys. It has me thinking about the days of the Honky Tonk Gurus with Richard Bell on keyboard, may he rest in peace. They were unforgetable shows in downtown NYC.
So, I hope the Blue Chicken band comes visits us in NYC.

Can't believe it's been 11 years that Rick passed. I recollect everything about that time in my life so vividly, yet every year I'm surprised anew that it was just before Xmas. I hope my RW friends are doing well. I've almost given up hope that we'll all get together again one day......
